Description
I had this image in mind for so long after reading Amazing Spider-Man #542, that I had to do something with it!Tonight I had the strength to finally do it!!!
It was first prepared in the train two weeks ago, quick thumbnails as the Batman Robin and Nightwing piece, and I tighten the pencils tonight!
This is not the tightest pencils I could have done but I like the result of this four hours work!!!
The Kingin tried to destroy evryone Peter holds dear, aunt May took a bullet in her chest! Peter changed his classic costume for the black one to carry this simple and loud message: "No one touches my family or he'll be dealt painfully"!
This is the story I've waited for years to come, This piece is my way to share my love of that particular moment in the life of our favourite wallcrawler!
I hope you will dig it as much as I had fun doin'it!

Can you draw spider-man running on water? Its scientifically possible for a human to do it as long as they can run at least 67 mph(similar to the basilisk lizard).

Why not? Even Whizzer can do it(marvels golden age speedster) and spideys faster than him.

This is why people need to stop underestimating Spidey when it comes to speed. Heck he was even able to keep up with and catch quicksilver when he went all out. He even dodges point blank gun fire without a spider-sense. I wonder why they don't put that kind of speed in the movies.

In the Amazing Spider-Man movie, there's a scene where you see him dodge a policeman bullets very fast and easy!

With that kind of speed he could probably give iron fist, Wolverine or even highly train people like Electra or black widow a run for their money.

Very nice. The action is tight and dynamic and I especially like the pose of the spidey punching him in the jaw. Your anatomy is pretty good too. I like Spidey with a leaner look. Also I love the black costume so points for using it.

The detail in this is incredible. The amount of highlights on Spider-Man's' muscles, especially since he's in his black costume, must have taken an extremely long time to make.

I remember this. And when I found out? I was shocked. I had never seen this side of Pete before... everytime he puts that suit on, whether it's cloth or symbiotic, it's bad news, he goes all out and takes no prisoners, it sends chills down my spine. Anyway you captured the ruthlessness of the Black Costumed Spider-Man perfectly! btw, are you doing commissions at the moment?

Hey, I'm a die-hard Spidey fan. I fell behind a few years back, but I've managed to catch up. I'm a bit upset about the one more day/brand new day event, I mean it was one thing for Marvel to have Gwen Stacy killed. That shaped Peter. In fact, I'd say it was one of the top 3 things that made him a better Spidey. 1) Death of Uncle Ben: Thus learning his lesson of Power and Responsibility. 2) Death of Gwen Stacy: Loss of his first true love, teaching him a lesson of be careful who he tells his secret to, and the consequences of such a secret. 3) Death of George Stacy: One of his mentors, a go-to guy Spidey could trust and count on. That man also knew Spidey's identity, so Trust wasn't an issue.
He has lost so much over the years. But it has made him a better person, a better man, and a better Superhero. Of course, he has gone through his dark periods, what with the Clone Saga, the Symbiote, and whenever someone he loved was in danger. Spidey's always teetered on that fine line of morality. The black costume, whenever it was worn, I realized it was a symbol. It wasn't just the symbiote. It wasn't controlling him. It allowed Spidey to do what he needed to do without being held back by the laws, boundaries and rules he had set up for himself. Black became his last resort, his STATEMENT. He wore black because he couldn't be himself anymore.
He had to embrace a darker path. When he encountered Kraven, when he beat the hell out of the Kingpin, and there were many others he beat to a pulp or near death, he relinquished his Spider-Man and Peter Parker identities. He had to become something else. Something NO ONE WOULD MESS WITH. Something that would scare even his most lethal of foes. I mean, if he had been wearing that costume when he fought the Goblin on that fateful day atop the bridge, he probably would have killed Osborn. And Gwen would've been alive, but she would've left Peter.
The Black Costume is bad news. It's his last resort, and it's last stand. It's the only thing he can do when he's pushed over the edge. Kaine, Pete's other clone, is the same way, he's that darker territory, he uses these dark methods to protect Peter, so Peter doesn't have to do what Kaine does.
Whew.... >> Sorry about that, I have been reading and studying the wall-crawler for too long.
Anyway, you are available? Sweet. Because I'm working on a Spider-Man project that I want to post here on DA, and could use a man of your talents. ^^

I'm a dedicated fan, I bleed webs. XD And I have studied him for a long time. I hope to one day meet Stan "The Man" Lee, to discuss Spidey and his other creations. I have ALOT to say to him. Could probably write a few books on what I wanna talk with him about! XD But yes, each of Spidey's costumes, I believe symbolize something. With the Black Costume, it means Spidey is not smiling anymore, he doesn't take any crap from anyone, and he will even kill if necessary.
Sure! I'd love to stay in correspondence with you! It'd be an honor! I'm one of your many watchers, so I'm always lurking on the rooftops waiting for your next big piece of art. ^^
