Description
This is a contest piece for the group , the theme of which is Dreams/Nightmares. I just finished this last night after working on it since the start of last week. It took a total of about 10 combined hours of work to get to this stage, using a combination of pen, colored pencils, markers, and negative space.

The idea of this creature is that it feeds on negative emotions, particularly preying on sleeping people because it's easier for the beast to cause nightmares and negative emotions when peoples' guard is down. However, this kid has possession of an amulet that's designed to ward off such creatures, hence the title (and that ugly "oh, crap" face Mister Creepy is making).

This is 8.5x12 inches, but the scanner bit off about a half inch from the bottom.
