Well...If you've played Final Fantasy X, and you tried to get Tidus' Celesial Weapon, then you'll remember this part for sure! I was doing this stupid race for hours last week, trying to get a time of 0.00 minutes, just so that I could have what I need to get his sword...Not only do you have to steer the Chocobo which doesn't want to listen to what direction you are telling it to go, and not only do you have to get all the balloons before the other racer...no, that would be too easy, wouldn't it? Try adding seagulls that fly at you every 2 seconds like heatseaking missiles, which add about 3 seconds (plus two seconds in recovery time) to your race time!
AAAAHHHH...It got me so frustrated, that I thought about how much better it would be if you could shoot these seagulls with your magic spells, or something...So I decided to take a break and draw it.
I was surprised to see that no one has ever done artwork on this topic...at least not anyone that I found, which was surprising because when I was looking up how to get the sword, all I could read is people swearing and complaining about how annoying it was.

haha this is great! it was so so irritating to get so close only to get hit five times in your next twenty runs.. but it finally happened and the feeling was so great. i thought it was kind of worth the satisfaction in the end.

Yeah, do yourself a favour, and purchase a gameshark/action replay...You'll end up saving money on the amount of asprin you'd need to take to get rid of the headaches!

Yeah, this was the most pointless and annoying part of the game...Even now that it's been a long time since I've played, I still get goosebumps thinking about how annoying those birds were!

ha, pointless is the right word. what was square enix tinking? ha. I still don't have tidus sigil. Twice the time stopped at 0.0.1!!!! I almost went berserk. xD those shitty birds.

Yeah, as for me...I gave up after hours of trying...then I went to buy an Action Replay the next day to get the sword because I was losing my mind trying to win that race!

Yeah, tell me about it! I had already gotten Yuna's and Rikku's weapons at that point...but after getting Tidus' weapon, I just got fed up and didn't bother with everyone elses! Yeah, I should've been smart like you, and used cheats to get that weapon...Would have saved me a lot of time, and even more stress!!!

If only you could do that, i would be a happy camper. Theo ne thing i could never imagine myself doing though was Lulus...I dont think i can dodge lightning that many times in a row.

Yeah, Lulu was the only person I didn't use much by the end of the game since I made Yuna the main Black Magic user. I only got the Celestial Weapons for Tidus, Rikku, Yuna, and I got Auron's Half powered up, and gave up on catching all those fiends.
Yeah, I was trying to do it in the style of Super Mario Strikers...but by the end I kinda changed the technique a bit. But what I did, was use black pencil crayon over my roughs (which I did each person/character individually in the animation pencil), then I photocopied it to take out the red pencil roughs and leave only the black pencil crayon. Then I scanned that, rearranged it and coloured it on photoshop.
