I actually started as a furry Artist before I started drawing humans. XD I just normally never post them on here.

I'm still TRYING to learn how to draw. So far not working out. Which do you think is easier to draw, humans or furries?

spiderweber In reply to ChaoticKaos [2016-08-27 17:15:05 +0000 UTC]

Furries for sure. XD though usually it's just the face that needs a lot of changing to go between furry and human.

Do you, have any tips? O.o

spiderweber In reply to ChaoticKaos [2016-08-30 18:14:48 +0000 UTC]

I know it seems like a simple solution, but the best thing I can say for tips is practice drawing from life. When I was in school we had a huge assignment where we had to draw our own hands in a multitude of positions. Another thing I can say is if you have the money to invest, look into getting a posable mannequin hand. I keep one on my desk along with a small mirror. If you need a pose for the opposite hand, use the mannequin hand, and draw it's reflection from the mirror. And don't be afraid to look up reference online. Countless artists more talented than I have done numerous hand studies. In fact, Andrew Loomis created an entire book dedicated to heads, hands, and feet called "Drawing the head & hands".
