My boyfriend bought me an amazing book : "Designing Creatures and Characters" By Marc Taro Holmes.It teach you how to create a good creature and character design portfolio for videogames.
And it's structured like a game! every chapter has exercises, achievements and bonus achievements. It's so fun and challenging!
This is the first Achievement "Skin changer" I used a wild boar skeleton as base structure.
This is a common situation in video game designing. As long as skeletal joints remain in a similar position, all the variation on creature can share a common set of animations.
