Solidworks is a software, uses for the Product design industry mainly..its a 3d cad softare

3ds max is better for architecture, free forms, complex surfaces , animations and more. so for architecture today, i rather use 3ds max and vray( for rendering)
it all depends on what you want to create...there are a lot of software out there

this one was made with solidworks and rendered in solidworks which is surprising even for me, cuz today i work with 3ds max and vray for those things and there is no comparison between the two

Now as an architecture student I have to ask, was this done in Revit, 3ds max, or neither?
I wish I was good at software and digital renderings but unfortunately my strengths are just drawing and physical models.

I've done this one with solidworks
but now days, I'm working only with 3ds max and vray for architecture
this is a very old work I've done...when i didn't know any other software.
drawing is a very powerful tool ! use it 
and learn 3ds max, you might like it, it will take you about 1 year to understand whats going on there and more practice to really become good with the software...but its fun
