“As Li's gentle shadow touched the ground outside of her grove and moved with her upon the plains of Ribeth; she marvelled at the transformation so suddenly wrote upon her. For the first time in her life she was vulnerable to anything life might throw at her. Feeling the familiarity of the Elder's magic slip it's hold on her fragile form, she slowly gazed across this new land, which seemed to draw her with a powerful but unspoken persuasion. As she hovered just inches from the boundary of their lands, there was an urge to turn back, to seek that warm safety, to return to the life mundane amongst her kin. But far greater is the Hero’s curiosity to explore.”

This Illustration was painted as one of the first of a series for a project I'm currently illustrating. Set in the world of Ellandria; this piece is intended to be the first illustration in the rule book of the upcoming role play game.
