Think I can finally say I’m done with this one. It started out as a pencil sketch. It was supposed to be a quickie to play with coloring techniques but it was anything but quick. So I scanned it and blended in photoshop even MORE, laid color over it in Photoshop… Anywho, Bodhi “Bowstrings” Blackheart-Bain is mine, one of my WOD characters, art is mine, tattoos were found on DA. Now I feel like such an asshole, I just spent the last 45 minutes looking for those designs again to credit the artists and I can't find them. If anyone knows who did the wolf/stag or the arm tattoo, please hit me up so I can give credit where it's due.

Aww thanks. I'm still working on the details, finalizing tattoos, etc. Mostly I've been using him to experiment in different art styles. This one was a finished pencil drawing that I colored over. I think his abs got too defined but I do like the soft look, it was just SO MUCH work. I'm working on consistency as far as making a character look the same from art piece to art piece. It helps to have a human model to go off of.

i would def. agree with the physique, i find that in a lot of art pieces "top strong-light defined stomach, and muscular arms" are quite unique with different art types.
yours for example suits his "plight" but again a fantastic model can always be fine tuned through your imagination.
you def. have one hell of a character there and i can see you doing many awesome things with him in terms of art.
digital,speed paint,other media types..im not good with XD i wouldn't know how.
i do love scanners but havnt had for years but i got new one for xmas but need a cable for it,once i get one I'm gonna go crazy with it

I'm trying to teach myself to digitally "paint" without the lines. I recently started supporting a couple artists on patron who have videos of that kind of thing, but those won't be released until next month so I've been messing around in Manga Studio on my own. I have one WIP I'll hopefully finish up this weekend, so far I like the results. (Featuring Bodhi and his woman, who is a Kitsune.) I also wanna draw some of his other forms, like Glabro and Crinos.
I am no good with speed paint. I am slow as shit.
I also need a new scanner. I need one that's 11"x17." Right now I have to scan all my stuff in 2 or 3 chunks and put it together in Photoshop.

I'm still not sure what speed painting is. i havnt looked it up.

I'm supposed to start doing water paints soon because now most tattooist apparently develop skill through knowledge of colours contrast mixing and depth .
i don't know why i need to, i only do traditional celtic line work. my family does it so i thought i would start traditional tattooing.
i think i have the same scan problem because its too small for my larger works and its got this "stitch" function on it where you scan it in sections but i havnt tried it yet.
