Original lines by Armando Huerta, found here: [link] This is an entry for his coloring contest, which I unfortunately only just found out about last night. I'm already behind on work, but I had to give this a quick shot... first of all, because I've never colored a pencil sketch before (or anyone else's work for that matter) and this was perfect practice. Second of all... IT'S ARMANDO HUERTA! As much of a comic book fan as I am, I've never been big on the Superhero types and I'm ashamed to say I know virtually nothing about Wonder Woman, but I would color Sponge Bob Squarepants (*cringe*) if Armando Huerta drew him. But bonus... it's a hot woman with boobs. Can't go wrong there. And as a female pin-up artist, Armando's always been a favorite of mine growing up. I've been perving on his work for like 15 years now.

Unfortunately, I can't spend more time tweaking this (I'm not happy with her skin, for one, I know I can do better, and I know I didn't do her hair justice at ALL...I'm still trying to figure out this digital coloring business...), I have to draw a koi fish cover-up for an appointment tomorrow. I doubt my customer would be happy if he showed up and I told him, "Sorry dude, I didn't finish drawing your tattoo because I was busy drooling over Wonder Woman's boobs." (Holy Crap this working 6 days a week is starting to get to me.)

I don't expect to win this contest, or to even be in the top ten, my main goal was to learn something, so I can better color my own work, and I learned a lot coloring this. (Though I can think of a few things in that store I want... actually, I'd love to have a custom (and DIRTY) Whoops Toon to tattoo on my leg..)) Yeah, Fuck the DA membership/points, it's a shame they banned him, I've just about had it with this place myself. This site is going further and further downhill every day... don't even get me started. The only reason I'm still ON DA at all is for the few cool artists I've met and corresponded with.

Anyways... If anyone knows how to color/tint the lines on a pencil colored sketch, or if you can direct me to a tutorial, pretty pleeeease, I'm here to learn. I would be eternally grateful.
