Spikytastic β€” Blame It On PMS Stamp

Description Made because I was thinking about my previous stamp, [link] (which also has to do with menstruation and makes me seem really fixated.)
Perhaps a flipside to it?

I truly hate the fact that a great number of my fellow men seem to think that whenever a biological female is having emotional trouble, it's "just PMS", or deriding their problems as invalid just because they're PMSing.

I'd love to see you deal with it, buddy.

I agree with you completely. Oh, and this:Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNDE_L… This video is for all of the people who like to assume stupid things about periods that aren't true, including the assumption that any time a female is on her period, she turns into a raging bitch. That is not necessarily true. Honestly, her personality has A LOT to do with how she acts while she's on her period, just like it has A LOT to do with how she acts any other time in her fucking life.

Indeed, equality of considering that stupidity is the main source of people's problems.

Mhm...well, sex and gender are two different things. Biological females are the only ones who get periods, obviously...but that doesn't mean all of them identify as women.

lmao true
and there one that says:
"Woman should stop blaming their problems on their PMS"
or "woman should stop using PMS as a excuse to get out of things."

I am a girl and I get super pissed when I hear at school stuffΒ like "Girls shouldn't have to do P.E. on our Period!"
That is why guys say that.
so I guess its a never ending loop.

I saw a gif set of a woman saying: "Unless you physically see me opening a tampon, don't assume that because I'm angry, that I'm on my period, because that's just annoying and rude. And tonight, while you're asleep, I'll just assume you're dead and bury you in the back yard."Β

It was something along those lines. All I know is that I liked it. xD

When I have PMS my behavior doesn't tend to go haywire at all, I am actually able to stay pretty calm. But when it's my time of the month my dad describes me as some raging hemorrhaging monster for some reason????

Same for me! If I'm acting angry or annoyed, it's because I'm me. Literally the ONLY thing my period does is make me go through emotions QUICKER than normal. That's the only difference.

this pisses me off to no end when someone says this to me after I yell. I've even started using it on my younger brother. if I yell at him he says I'm on my period. so when he yells at me I look at him and go "That time of the month for ya?"

I really hate it when people do this. Uhm, no. PMS doesn't have anything to do with the fact that I hate you for being a stupid asshole, but nice guess.

Though for me any emotional trouble is blamed on my thyroid acting up and not PMS, but the effect is still pretty much the same. My thyroid has caused me to suffer horrible mood swings in the past, but now that I'm on medication you can't just go "Oh, well its just her thyroid acting up again...". No, sometimes people have emotional trouble that isn't caused by any condition other than the unfortunate ability to attract idiots without trying.

Men sometimes get erections that they cant control.
And Unlike it happening a couple days monthly, it can happen at any second.
That's also not that fun I'd guess.

Silverheart2 In reply to PhantomOfDestiny [2014-12-04 03:37:40 +0000 UTC]

Wow. There are so many things I could say to you right now. How about:
1. Out of ALL the people who commented on this, you're only going to respond to me?
2. This comment doesn't make me immature, I'm just expressing my opinion.
3. You actually don't realize how funny this is to me. If you knew me in real life, you would be thinking differently. I am one of THE most mature people my friends & family have EVER known. Like...you have no idea.
4. This is how I feel. I am entitled to my opinion. This is how intensely I feel about it. I would not say something like this unless it was something so extreme as gender inequality. You have NO idea how much I despise gender inequality. I just want guys to know what we go through on a regular basis.

This is my opinion. If you don't agree with me or like the manner in which I said it, you can choose to ignore me. You don't need to say that it's immature.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PhantomOfDestiny In reply to Silverheart2 [2014-12-04 04:06:08 +0000 UTC]

Well I didn't handle this maturely...Guess I still have alot of growing up to do, and I admit that.

For me, if guys suddenly have these symptoms of menstrual cramps, I would feel sorry for them and give them chocolate.

I am sorry for being a rude and mean person and for judging you so harshly, it's just that I don't think laughing at men who would suddenly have these symptoms of menstrual cramps is very mature, I think it's quite rude for women to laugh at men who would randomly experience these symptoms we get at the time of the month. If you're still upset I understand. I apologize for my awful attitude and I respect your opinion, since yours is more maturely worded than mine.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Silverheart2 In reply to PhantomOfDestiny [2014-12-04 04:38:56 +0000 UTC]

Well I appreciate and accept your apology. Unlike so many other people, you can actually RESPOND to my rants with maturity. However, I do want to still point out a few things.
For one, if guys are on their period, you can't solve it by just giving them chocolate. I hate that people think periods can seem to "go away" if you just eat chocolate. Just another retarded stereotype.
Another thing is that when I say that I'd laugh in their faces isn't true. I know what it's like to go through the horrible pain and symptoms of it, so I'd know what they're going through. I just exaggerated when I said that. But I would still be like "I told you so" (referring to how painful it is).
Thank you for your understanding!

PhantomOfDestiny In reply to Silverheart2 [2014-12-04 04:45:21 +0000 UTC]

Sorry, that's probably what I would do if guys did get periods, but I know that wouldn't fix anything. I'd mostly hide from them XDΒ

No problem, I just feel bad for being rude. I'm just very, very blunt and very opinionated so I seem to be harsh, but that's not what I intended to do.
