Description
Made because I was thinking about my previous stamp, [link] (which also has to do with menstruation and makes me seem really fixated.)Perhaps a flipside to it?
I truly hate the fact that a great number of my fellow men seem to think that whenever a biological female is having emotional trouble, it's "just PMS", or deriding their problems as invalid just because they're PMSing.
I'd love to see you deal with it, buddy.

I'm fine. Just waiting for all this Valentine's crap to be over with.

I don't like it, either. This holiday has lost its appeal long ago...to me anyways.

I remember back in elementary, Valentine's Day was always so special. Everyone got a Valentine from everyone, and NOBODY got left out...
Now all it is is one of three things:
couples being cheesy & romantic and feeling OBLIGATED to have some huge thing set up for their partner;
single people either complaining about being alone or pretending that they feel fine and don't need anybody, even though they're lying;
or there's the extremely rare neutral party, which doesn't care about any of it.
Sadly now, it's just a mess in the modern world...

My friends have been acting retarded since they found out I started my period. None of them have started yet, and whenever I'm feeling sad or annoyed, they just say "Oh you're just PMSing" and that gets me EVEN MORE PISSED!!

It's not all men that blame periods, in fact I've met women who do so.

-_- If they're expecting their period obviously they're gonna blame it on their PMS. (If blaming other women, it's a different story)

I once called someone out when they were being aΒ downrightΒ bigoted asshole Β who was saying messed up stuff , and got a response from someone else Β of "wow you're angry about this, are you on your period?" Β
It really annoyed me and made me feel belittled and brushed aside Β :/Β

Something similar to that would happen to me all the time, except they wouldΒ ask if something's wrong with me or why I'm in such a grouchy mood.Β It would usually follow with other people giggling at me.Β It's part of the reason why I hardly show much emotion to other people anymore, because I don'tΒ want to hear their stupid remarks.

Ain't always PMS and PMS isn't a "just" thing. It's kind of like, "It's just swine flu": both hurt and they aren't "it's just . . . " things.

Agreed.
Also some women need to stop excusing things on PMSing.
Maybe if those women stopped,the men who do this will stop,too.

As an addendum:
Dear all men,
Not all women get PMS. Stop being ignorant douches and accept that women can actually have valid reasons for being upset about something. If you can't accept that, then kindly do us all a favor and make your idiocy known so that we can avoid you.

Touchy before, teary in, reclusive after for me.
Actually there's only about 3-4 days a month that this makes me a good person to be with, in between the long before and after sections.
Or maybe I'm just a miserable bitch, who hides it well (most of the time). XD

I never have any mood swings or else during or before periods so it really pisses me off when I'm in a bad mood and some douchebag comes along saying I'm only PMSing. Being patronised like that is the real reason for a bad mood.

DEAR Spikytastic:
Where does PMDD fit into this? I find it fascinating that none of the females replying to this stamp has brought up PMDD, which is much worse.
Its like "PMS" is some sort of easy catchphrase to make a stamp with.

Firestarawesome In reply to RMXTrailMix [2013-06-21 20:13:20 +0000 UTC]
Because guys bring up PMS more than PMDD. It's not about which is worse. It's about which is most used.

aurora-celest In reply to ??? [2013-03-26 03:40:46 +0000 UTC]
Thank you. Out of all the women and girls I know, very few of them experienced any emotional issues during their periods, and those who did only experienced extremely minuscule affects. PMS has become too common of an excuse for emotional problems. That's not to say that no woman experiences mood swings, but seriously: not every chick is going to be a pathetic, chocolate-craving emotional wreck. In fact, most females aren't.
