I don't even actively hate wolves.
They're just boring, partially because everybody and their mom treats them as the pinnacle of evolution, existance, and whatnot.
They are not mystical, magical, and graceful; they are big, stupid dogs that will rip things apart without remorse.
They're not even endangered. If you want to save a dog, save the freakin' dholes or island foxes, they're actually endangered.
Get over them. Please.
If you excuse me, I'll be off in the corner loving my vermin animals, because as far as I care, opossums are way cuter than wolves are.

hey i'm not sying opposums aren't cuter then wolves (cause i lov 'em sooo much) but seriously dude. don't go crushin' peeps' dreams. if somebody says they love wolves and they're graceful and beautiful (and don't say they ain't cuz they is) don't say o there just a bunch of chunky dogs. and they are endangered. everybody is killin' 'em of cuz they think they kill to many deer but its actually the people hunters killin' deer.......

Honestly, the only thing I can think of about wolves that's interesting is that, like all canines, they have the ability to cooperate with each other in order to hunt. (Somehow, I don't think most wolfaboos are even aware of this fact and just think they're pretty) Other than that, they're not all that special. Other animals are far more intelligent.
Crows mourn their dead, use tools to solve problems and are one of the most intelligent animals on the planet, much smarter than wolves. They even remember faces. Which is why you should not feed crows, because they'll find you again... With friends... They're so freaking awesome....
Prairie dogs have linguistic capabilities. Do wolves? No. No they don't.

Meh, I always thought cats were much cooler.
Wolves were, for the most part, little more than a big dog to me; and I didn't like dogs for the longest time. I never saw the point of adoring a wild animal that had so little appeal, I mean it's not like their coat patterns were particularly varied either. I always thought the amazing variation among other kinds of animals (cats, mustelids, BIRDS!)was much more impressive, and I hold to that thought.

I agree with you in that people shouldn't see wolves as big cuddly bunnies who control the universe, because they are not. They are top predators, and as a predator, they Do kill. They are built to hunt. And when you say that they rip things apart without remorse, you are coming from the viewpoint of a human who puts your feelings before what is actually necessary. If wolves felt bad about every animal they hunted, they wouldn't exist. Compassion for prey is a human behavior that contradicts itself. They are humans, they don't have guns that make a kill clean and fast. They only have what nature has provided them with, an extremely powerful jaw with teeth and claws and a swift body. I should also point out that the animals they hunt also have a mechanism that lessens the pain. Have you heard of the stories where someone breaks their leg and they don't feel it at first? That is their nervous system at work. They don't feel the full swing of the pain at first, and by they time they would have, the wolves have killed them and then they are just a body. In some cases the kill is not fast, but the wolves don't do that on purpose. They want the kill to be as quick as possible to prevent their pack mates from getting injured. Moose and elk and deer can be extremely strong even when they are sick, and the sick ones are the ones that wolves usually take. It may not be immediately visible to our eyes, but the wolves have senses we no longer understand or posses.
Humans have come so far away from nature that all they see is the cute, innocent little cottontail getting killed by what appears to be a relentless, brutal killer. But they are part of a great cycle. They are the top predator in regions where humans no longer care to live, and they are essential to ecosystems. Yet the human emotion of compassion for prey is ridiculous, because I bet the last time you ate that cheeseburger, you didn't stop to think about the cow that had to be hung upside down by its hooves in a dark room, surrounded by the smell of blood and dead cows, and then cut down the stomach and left in a holding room to bleed to death. Of course you wouldn't, because you don't have to hunt for yourself, and you don't have to deal with the killing itself. You buy the food, you eat the food, that's it. We do not have compassion for our prey, we just refrain from thinking about how much pain we actually bring them. Now I'm just making an assumption, you may be a vegetarian or something, but this scenario applies to a large portion of America.
Just because a law states that wolves aren't endangered doesn't mean they are not in danger. Areas where wolves used to have territories are now covered with suburbs. Even now, in land that has to be Set Aside For Them, they are being threatened. They can't put one paw out of Yellowstone without the risk of getting shot by cattle ranches who think that they own animals. That's another human stupidity, where wolves are concerned. We become angry when wolves kill livestock, but to them, it's just another herd of animals. Those cows or those sheep are just Prey, and very vulnerable prey at that. Wolves do not understand the concept of animal ownership. No other species on this earth practices it, and so no animal should be expected to understand it. It's a unique situation. That does not make them stupid. Humans don't know how to assert themselves in their language.
Opossums are very low on the food chain, so I can see how you would think of them as cute, because they don't have the responsibility of being a wolf. They eat things that most people don't care about; roadkill, worms, insects. They also have this round face with little eyes and a button nose with those big ears.
What I'm trying to make a point of is that you shouldn't have a negative view on something just because annoying people have ruined it. Did you notice that your statement about wolves being boring didn't state how the Wolves were boring, but how you are annoyed with how people approach them? You are paying more attention to the reaction of people to wolves then you are to the wolves themselves. I know how annoying those people can be, because they don't understand what wolves are. They are not little chihuahuas to be cuddled, they are wild animals that we should respect like any other and leave to their business. Because that's all they want. They just want humans to leave them alone.

Very boring...I went to the zoo and visited the grey wolf exibit, they where all lieing on the ground like they where dead. XD But when I saw a beautiful octapus in the zoo I was impressed, it was a big octapus, and kinda cute too.

But then I saw some polar bears, and they were running around and it was awesome XD

God damn people are freakin' sensitive over this crap! I also find wovles boring but Jesus Christ, that does'nt make me nor the person who made this stamp evil! Oh, and CAPS LOCK RAPE and saying that wolves are endangered (and most types are not) does'nt make them any more INTERESTING. They're overused and the people who like them are simply incredibly annoying. In fact, making us like them by forcing them in our faces and calling us monsters for not liking them are not finding them interesting (oh dear) makes us not like them even more. Oh, yea, dude, opossums are cute as hell. I would say 'possums, hedgehogs, and bobcats are way more interesting than wolves are.
