Description
The finalized human form of Ember McLain.Based off of a scene from caferreri11's ([link] ) story, Remember: The Ember McLain Story (more specifically, her 16th birthday).
Keeping in mind this was the first cartoon character I made from scratch (in Paint.NET), it was completed in probably about 12 hours total. The other characters I'm making won't take as long since now I know what to do.
And in case anyone cares, all of the pdn files combined (since she was made in pieces) were around 100 layers total.

Does anyone know where I can find this story. I remember reading it years ago but never finishing it, the only shred of this I found was on fanfiction.net and that only had nine chapters, I know there was more and the guys deviantart page is gone. I really want to read this story again, may someone please help me.

Want the terrible part? I found a hard drive a few months back that would've given us an additional like 6 more chapters (I had it backed up from an old laptop). I lost the hard drive. I pulled a few things of mild value (namely some mp3s that got pulled from iTunes). I've pondered going back over what he wrote and finishing it (he told me some things about how it ends), but with my job I just come home exhausted anymore and maybe do a few games of overwatch. I just started this job a few weeks ago, so let me get settled in and I will probably just give the story some closure once and for all.

Cool, thanks. I have a list of what I at least recall from the chapters that are missing. Some details that chris might've had included (some small characters, a song i remember he put into it, etc) i probably won't have. There's also a chapter truth be told I really just plain dislike, so that will probably be rewritten. to be fair I haven't really read it since like 2011 so small things might be lost. Honestly I'm impressed people are still interested in it. Show's been off the air for nearly a decade, the story's been in hiatus for like 4 years, chris quit like 2-3 years ago...

I just finished reading the story too, and man it was going so well it left a bitter taste to know it was left aside by the creator. It has been almost a year since your comment too, but I assure you, that a lot of people are waiting for this story to come back. I don't care how much time it takes, but knowing that you care about it is enough.

2018 man. The biggest announcements are coming very soon. New projects, a new format, and the finale to Remember: The Ember McLain Story. Taking 2017 to finish setting the stage but working on things every single night.

While I'm beyond late...I'm going to take a shot at finishing it this summer. Won't be Chris's vision (can't get anything from him nowadays), but I knew a bit of it behind the scenes so I might actually be close. I wanted to do an entire visual novel runthrough of the story, but until I actually have more than 3 or 4 chapters I can't even attempt it.

I had an old hard drive from a laptop I tried to salvage (it had startup issues). I just found it this afternoon with about 7 of the missing chapters on it. There might be more...I haven't dove too deep into it to see what else is on it. Files on it haven't been touched since 2010-2011 so who knows what else is on it. So I can at least get those up soon.

You know...definitely an interesting concept. I'd like to do an "unreleased show clip" kind of deal...but I know I won't have time for it until at least April (college classes and all). It'd definitely would be quite the work too as I'd need some VO actors...

it would be cool if they made an episode where Danny finds himself back in time around the time she died, and tried to prevent it, it would be another 'masters of all time' sort of episode, either that or he has to make sure that the present ember doesnt change the past.

The story's insanely awesome (I'm the proofreader/cover art designer). It actually got me started doing DP art in general, otherwise I'd be only doing custom NASCAR designs. Nothing wrong with them, but it's nice to try some other forms of art.

one thing I like about the story is that even though it's an interpretation of Ember's life as a human and as a ghost, it sounds like it would be from the show. The wiki I found for the show says even though that it's not exactly clear how she died, it was probably self-cremation.

Yeah Chris is basing this all off of her song from the show ("Remember").
Even before I read TEMS I had similar (if not identical) thoughts about the meaning of it. Seemed a bit dark for Nick, then it occurred to me they never aired the full song on tv.
