This one is pure photomanipulation (a little painting just for shadows and highlights) All of the elements of this image came from the photo below from my own stock account ~Spiney-StockI may do some more work on this at some point I think im done but hmmm Im not sure, watch this space......

Hey thanks mate.
I started pretty rough just cutting sections from the original onto a new blank document, lots of transform/warp and really just kept going refining and getting more detailed. I have just posted some of the save points to show some of the stages I went through if you are interested [link]

Umm how long? Im not really sure, I work on a few things at a time so its hard to tell, but Im not one of theses artists that can knock up something in a few hoes, im quite slow, probably talking about a week, but I could be way out there, lol

Haha yeah that's about how I was too but I've cut mine down to working on one over 4 or 5 days now (mostly.)

lol, yeah well i am quicker than I used to be, used to take me months to do a painting, I used to see these guys who do a really good one in a couple of hours in amazement, still do, lol. Guess it comes down to practice and I suppose your style effects it too. Anywho thanks again for your kind words
