Spinewinder In reply to Weareone [2010-06-06 20:57:15 +0000 UTC]

Well the internet is a funny thing, freedom to express, but only if you give up personal information to access it, bit of an oxymoron.

Yup. This is epic. False images of importance keeping the masses distracted. Love the message bro. Totally agree that it reminds me of Fahrenheit 451!!

Lolz. Oppression to the highest degree by the gov't basically. Oh and the worst part of it, burning of books.

jumpe182 In reply to Spinewinder [2009-11-12 18:15:44 +0000 UTC]

Oh definitely. More like 1984- present -future. It's no biggie to me though. When they start implementing cameras and mics on the streets and in house or when they begin disallowing leisure reading, I'll be that guy who goes underground and creates a resistance. Viva la...something.

Spinewinder In reply to jumpe182 [2009-11-12 18:48:21 +0000 UTC]

Same here, Don't know where your from but here in the UK we have soooo many CCTV cams and our rights are disappearing under the pretence of protecting us from Terrorism, They tried to bring in biometric ID cards but luckily that fell through, purely on cost mind if it weren't for the credit crunch wed probably have them now. Ah well could go on a rant but i will spare you, lol

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jumpe182 In reply to Spinewinder [2009-11-13 03:57:57 +0000 UTC]

Well I'm actually a Texan here in the US but uh, it's not exactly like we're keeping freedom in the possession of the masses on our end of the ocean. We have cams @ stoplights, schools, stores, on street corners even. Basically any public place. Terrorism is the same excuse they're pitching over here too. Ever heard/ read The P.A.T.R.I.O.T. act? Right after 9/11 and it basically allows our gov't to invade every piece of information they want whether it be phone, computer, paper. It even allows them entry into our homes w/o having to tell us before doing it.

Biometric IDs? Jeez. I think they tried something similar here but I haven't heard anything else abt it so hopefully it's out of the heads of the political system.

Lol. I think you and me could rant all day abt our perspective gov'ts. Just answer me this yay or nay: Underground Freedom Fighter?

Spinewinder In reply to jumpe182 [2009-11-14 20:32:22 +0000 UTC]

Id heard of the patriot act but didnt really know the details, crazy stuff eh, they have done similar here but not quite to the same extent. Although there is some crazy stuff in the anti terrorism bill here, police have been abusing these new powers when terrorism doesn't come into it at all. They were keeping the DNA of innocent people too and refused to destroy the DNA and were building a Database, luckily the European courts decided it was illegal and have forced them to change, they have to destroy the DNA of innocent people after 6 months now. Still too long in my opinion. Ah well crazy world eh.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jumpe182 In reply to Spinewinder [2009-11-15 04:20:57 +0000 UTC]

>.> Keeping the DNA? Jeez.

Maybe they're keeping DNA farms and are testing on them. Eventually creating an army of cloned super citizens taken from criminals and suspects of normal society to keep the masses under ctrl. They'd wear mask so you wouldn't know they were clones and they'd be in the pockets of the gov't for use whenever something immoral and illegal needs being done.

Lol.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Spinewinder In reply to jumpe182 [2009-11-15 18:50:43 +0000 UTC]

hmmm we must stop the clone army

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jumpe182 In reply to Spinewinder [2009-11-15 22:30:48 +0000 UTC]

It's all a matter of taking out the media to stop further spread of propaganda, and then finding a way to perform a coup d'Γ©tat putting power back in the people's hand.

I think I'll try drawing something along those lines. Bwuaha.

Yeh, kinda scary. Its kinda meant to be a comment about modern life in general too, you know work, bills ect keep the population chasing their tails and they dont have time to think or put up any opposition to the ruling power. An old idea I.e Neros Circus or Platos Cave. Anywho could go on rambling forever, Glad you liked and thanks for commenting appreciated
