Also known as probably the trio with the least fanart out there.

I've always liked these three, even before I knew about their Therian forms, believe it or not!
While I am aware that there was a specific reason as to why they are very much similar in their Incarnate forms (which I don't remember right now), I've decided to, despite that, make them as different from each other as possible! So here you have the elegant gentleman Tornadus, the crazy psycho Thundurus, and the calm and collected, fatherly Landorus, who's obviously a bit like a big brother to the other two, who are constantly fighting over basically everything.
Anyway, I hope you'll like these three because I have actually had a lot of fun drawing them in both of their forms!

I've never really been a fan of the FoN trio. Something about the original design just really isn't appealing. Although you have, (as you tend to do), made them look infinitely more pleasing.
First and foremost, I love how you gave them three distinctly different personalities and made them look more unique. Like the symbol on their stomachs, Thundurus' goatee and earring, the differing muscle mass in their arms, the clouds being different, etc.
Secondly, (and yes, I feel that this deserves it's own little section) you made their mouths look alot less stupid. They seriously look much, much better with these mouths. It allows for more expressions than the constantly open "one-tooth" mouth does.
Third, I think I noticed a small mistake with Thundurus' therian form tail. In the incarnate form and in the doodle with Keldeo his tail is the official design, whereas the therian form has a somewhat Origin form Giratina-esque design. Although I do kinda like it.

I agree, the mouths their Incarnate forms normally have are just plain stupid-looking. About Thundurus' tail - I purpousely made it thin in the Incarnate form and thick in the Therian form - I just liked it more that way + the one in the Keldeo doodle is also supposed to have the thick tail but I guess I've failed at making it clear enough, oh well.
I was considering to draw him with Lando but ended up choosing Cobalion instead because I figured he was more like the "dad" of the Swords of Justice than Terrakion, hah

Well, Landorus is actually based on a Japanese god of fertility and he is known as the "Abundance Pokemon" so I don't think he should be seen as a disaster-based deity. I agree though, it would indeed be very nice if there was an ice type "-rus" representing hailstorms!

Plus I Β discvred they were supposed to represent the the four myths of the compass, Tornadus is the Phoenix of the South, Landorus is the Tiger of the west, and Thunderus is the Dragon of the East. If they had made a Hail version, it's otyer form would be a turtle.

Yeah, I'm talking about BW. At some point-I believe after you beat the main story-you come across one of the routes where it's raining as things normally happen. Then, as you continue on, it becomes abnormally stronger until you come across a family which calls you in from the storm. Inside you learn the story behind the three forces of nature.
After the story, you leave to find that the storm has practically become a typhoon. As you continue, it becomes stronger until, at the storm's strongest, Tornadus/Thunderus appears before you. He seems to acknowledge you before disappearing along with the storm he created. After that, you chase him around Unova with the storm being his mark of existence.

I like them, and I can testify to how popular Landorus is in competitive play, especially Therian forme.

The thing is, his Incarnate forme is even better than the Therian one, which is why it was banned from standard competitive play and therefore isn't as commonly seen as his Therian forme.

People like his Therian form since Intimidate is incredibly useful in being a tank or just giving you an edge for sweeping from with Choice Scarf. Incarnate form has problems in Ubers because it isn't quite built to be surrounded by that level of power, so he goes underused, especially with Primal Groudon being so popular and doing most of what he can for less(and no *4 ice weakness really helps). Therian form is more useful in his own tier while being less powerful.

That is all true, and it's also the reason why I hate Primal Groudon being a thing in Ubers - it makes so many Mons that used to be good/great just straight up bad, e.g. Palkia, non-Primal Kyogre; and renders some basically useless, like Reshiram, whose niche was to drop very powerful Blue Flares on everything, preferrably boosted by Groudon's harsh sunlight, which now goes away every time that guy is being switched out. As much as I love it design-wise, I'd give everything (lol, not actually) just to see it be banned to AG, which is not going to happen anytime soon.

I never like the tier system since it always limits what Pokemon can do, but the problem is that if it wasn't there, teams would consist almost entirely of legendaries since they're the top of the game. It's a lose-lose situation, since either Pokemon have to be put in tiers where they're outshined by another Pokemon that eliminates large numbers of competition or the system is only filled with the best 2-3 dozen Pokemon since anything else just isn't good enough anymore to take them on. Competitive Pokemon is fun in OU since it doesn't overflow with legendaries and yet still has a large selection of powerful Pokemon like Gardevoir and Marowak. I just wish the other tiers had similar feelings regarding their play.
