I can't wait to see Genyodectes! I've always been interested by this obscure genus

Yeah. I have an old Dinosaur Field Guide from 1983 and one of my teachers gave it to me when I was little (of course, I wasn't a kid in the 80s) and I learned about a whole deal of obscure, underrated and often misplaced Dinosaurs. Under the small Ceratosaurid page was Ceratosaurus (accompanied by a beautiful skull illustration)Β Chienkosaurus ceratosauroides (synonymous with Szechuanosaurus these days) and Genyodectes.

I don't know, but Trish did a review of it. It may sound opinionated, though I always liked the book, even if it is inaccurate by many aspects:

interesting. believe it or not, i actually created sort of a crude reconstruction of this theropod as well. i was using it for making a 1:20 scale sculpture of the theropod. but i somewhat referenced it for this sketch. i can't wait to see your reconstruction

I'm guessing its a juvenile Genyodectes due to the smaller size? A full grown Genyodectes is estimated at 30ft, Tyrannotitan is estimated at a maximum of 42ft. Great sketch though! I'm assuming you remember me from the DinoToyForum.

genyodectes was far from 30 feet unfortunately. from its known material, it is very difficult to estimate the actual size of the theropod, but 30 feet seems a bit too much. imo, 6 meters is a more likely upper estimate.
this is a rough sketch and a lot of aspects will be changed. i might up the size of the genyodectes as soon as i feel that the perspective and anatomy are looking good.
btw: still remember your from the site. impossible to not recognise your distinct drawing style

Well either way, its looking good so far, I love the pose of the Tyrannotitan. Haha, I guess my style is pretty unique! Haven't seen any art similar to it!
