“Time’s been damaged, and they’ve come to sterilize the wound… by consuming everything in sight.”

I’ve never watched any Doctor Who episodes before, and ever since this recent series has been on I’ve become a bit of a fan.

For those who do not know what it is, it’s a creature known as a Reaper, and it materialises when a paradox occurs in time and they begin to literally consume everything in existence.

I just think the Reaper’s design is so cool. The four limbs fold over its hidden mouth found on its chest and this acts like an extra mandible, which it uses to vocalise. And the membrane-like wings just rock! Also like a face-hugger, it uses its wings to smother its ‘prey’. But my favourite alien is the Slitheen! ^.^

I’ve make it a bit more bird/serpent like and I’ve added some visual texture too! I have done this using a variety of sketch pencils, and it’s a great shame that the light detail I did on the wings using a H pencil didn’t show up when I scanned it. Plus, I wanted to do a background but I really should have done that first because I would have risked smudging it doing so now.

I might fiddle with the contrast later…
