This is a poster/meme/thing that's been going around. It's for an OC Tournament called "Artists at the Ready", hosted by . Check it out here: [link]
Basicly, you are yourself, and you can summon your OCs to your side in battle!
The OCT itself is no where near starting.. and even `Endling made one
Hopefully it will start when I have lot's of time on my hands... and hopefully I'll be able to get in if it does
Even if I only lasted the first round... with the people who aparently are entering, it would totally be worth it
Losing to someone like Endling wouldnt hurt my feelings at all
Right. On to the characters =]
From the top left:
Norin: Everyone's favorite kamen Prince
Not much of a fighter... but his mechanic skills might prove usefull.Krom: A HUGE meganus male. His enormous strength and his robotic arm might be good to have against powerfull opponents. If I can get him to fight FOR me.
Rashna: Meganus bounty-hunter. Got's all kinds of gadgets in that mechanical body of his
Dohi: Strategic genius, and swordsman. He's way stronger than he looks
Hido: Dohi's twin brother. My quick thinking dual-wielding swordsman kamen
His high-tech armor has TONS of utilities.Nathanael (me): The power to summon my characters has been granted to me. And man, I have TONS OF THEM.
Aparently there is a character limit for the contest... 3 characters I think.
And besides that, I can throw a mean right hook!
Karayan: The wizard! Remember him? My only truly "magic" using character. And man, does he have a lot of powerfull spells!
Johander: Another one from the bottom of the chest... Johander is a great swordsman with a magic sword. Epic destruction is easy for him... but his aim is lacking.
Kiyu: If I get in, Kiyu is defenetly getting some of the action. Fast, strong, and practically a lazer porcupine, she wouldn't be much of a team fighter, but would be extremely useful in a pinch!
And last but not least, Galatas: An inter-dimentional-bla-bla-bla. I need not tell you much about him... Everyone knows already

and there seem to be an awfull lot of them going on lately
It's a tournament setting competition. Each competitor picks a character to use as you combatant.
It's a comic competition though. Some use written entries too.. but comics ar ehte prefered media.
Basicly, the judges pair you up against another artist's character.
You have a time limit to draw a comic of your character defeating his in battle =]
He does the same, and the judges judge them. Best story, character representation, and art wins, and goes to the next round. =]
Pretty fun, and you usually end up meeting a ton of new people.
Usually, a tournament will involve about 32 competitors. 5 rounds.

Heheh usually we have around a month.
4 weeks to write and draw a comic.
Well.. you look around for them... and then audition.
Best characters and stories are selected.
There are also first-come-first serve types...

hahaha... the contest is kindda like Pokemon tournament but they are your own OC instead of monsters coming out from a Pokeball.

wow that looks like crazy fun. I've been wanting to do some kind of project where I can display my roster of characters. (i don't think i wanna have at another OCT for awhile though, maybe a side project of sorts lol)
anyway, they all look awesome, a pretty diverse setup you have there. I guess the majority of the ones shown here are from Kamen?

Yep.. most are from Kamen. The top and left side in fact
Galatas has no story besides Eye of Arisile
And the 2 guys above him are characters I've used in an RP
I have TONS of other characters... I estimate them to be around 40 at least...
But there is a 3 character limit for the actual tournament (probably in july or august).. and so I only drew the ones that might make it in.
My 3 would probably be Kiyu, Norin and one of the meganus maybe.

Hmm I just might! although I had something more along the lines of doing my top 3 protagonists and my top 3 antagonists. or maybe some kind of big ongoing project where each one gets their own distinct picture... hmm.
Ahh I thought so, Red's similar Galatas cause I made him purely for OCTs as well haha. But I like him so much I think I'm gonna stick him in one of my three stories.
I had a fairly impressive roster too, but i went back through my old notes and sketch books a few months ago and realized most of them were cookie cutter 2-D chumps =\. So its significantly smaller now haha XD.
