I feel like Kamen clothing style, with all their colors would be terribly gaudy in a non dimly lit environment. Perhaps that's why they choose to wear such bright colors though. You can recognize your friend a good ways away

"Kuai's Shadow pass us quickly" is a prayer/swear.
The Red Moon, Kuai, blots out a LOT of starlight when it's in it's new moon stage. Makes the world pretty dark for several hours at a time, even for the keen low light eyes of the kamen.
It's seen as a bad omen, and a bringer of bad stuff.
When dark events happen, Kuai is often superstitiously blamed.
