Well now. About time I finally got a proper ref sheet for the newest addition to my OC roster. She appeared in this fav.me/d8o06bb just over a month ago. And nothing more has come of her since then. Until now! Yup. Everypony. Here is the bio thing for my newest OC, Spectre.
Please bare in mind that, whilst she isa pony. She's technically a Harry Potter OC. I just can't draw humans. So she's a pony

Anyway. Here's the bio. It's quite long. Since I kept getting ideas for her and writing them down and then it just got longer and longer. So yeah. That's fun ><

Nickname: Spectre (alias) Vivi (by Peeves)

Blood-Status: Muggle-Born
Race: Unicorn
Birthday: 18th August
Appearance: Long, wavy yet slightly messy dark purple, near black hair with a few white streaks. Dark lilac coat. Red eyes. Fairly tall and slender.
Usual Attire: Wears long black robes with a yellow shirt and square glasses. Also wears a scarf striped with Hufflepuff colours in the winter.
Wand: 11 1/2 inch, Birch, Dragon Heartstring Core
Magic aura: Red
Wing/Feather size and length: N/A
Racial Features: Long fetlocks. Cloven hooves, same colour as hair. Lion like tail.
Sexuality: Demisexual
Relatives: Muggle Parents, Unicorn mother, Earth pony father, older muggle unicorn brother.

Pure-bloods underestimating her because of her parentage (simply because then she can watch as they marvel over how a 'mere muggle-born' pulled off such a complex spell)
Dislikes: Peeves (when he refuses to behave), things going wrong, being asked about her eyes. The majority of Syltherin students. Divination as a whole. Having nothing to do. Other ponies not listening to what she has to say. Her brother.
Skills: A skilled witch. Though only in certain areas. Primarily charms. And also has a knack for transfiguration. Can cast various spells wordlessly. And can cast dark magic if she puts her mind to it. Though doesn't like to if it can be helped. Managed a full animagus transformation in three years, not long after she finished school. Fairly limited unicorn magic in comparison to her wizarding magic. But can still use basic levitation and teleportation spells.
Weaknesses: Can be a bit big-headed at times and slow to trust other ponies. Which can make her overly cautious, and can stop her from doing things she needs to do.
Abilities: Powerful Necromantic abilities.
Other Things: Sweet and ambitious. Lilac Fire, or Spectre as she prefers to be called, is a powerful witch with peculiar connections. She has a strong spiritual bond with the Hogwarts poltergeist Peeves - though they're generally just good friends as well. And fairly good relations with the school ghosts. Her eyes become very pale, almost white, when in the presence of spirits with whom she's bonded with or when communicating with the spirit world. They also change when summoning spirits to her.* She doesn't like having to remain in the spirit world for a long time as it can take up a lot of energy. Was Seeker for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team in her fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh year. And played professionally for a while outside of school. Was raised in a big Muggle city with her older brother, and started showing signs of magic at age eight when she accidentally cast a binding spell on the family dog. Was sorted into Hufflepuff for her kind and caring nature, as well as her dedication to do well in school. Though the Sorting Hat was close to putting her in Ravenclaw. Started wearing glasses when she was eleven. Her necromancy was first activated when she started coming into contact with the school ghosts. Though she didn't know that that was what caused them, and, most prominently, Peeves, to listen to her and talk to her willingly until she was about sixteen**. Whilst at school, she was often called upon by students, and, occasionally, teachers, to stop Peeves from messing around when they couldn't get him to stop by themselves, knowing that nine times out of ten, he'd listen to her. Is referred to as 'Vivi' by Peeves, as when they first met, he misheard her when she introduced herself. The name 'Violet' stuck and eventually became 'ViVi' as they became closer. And he hardly ever refers to her by her real name, or even her alias. When she was still fairly new to the wizarding world, she was attacked by a feral vampire when walking through the woods with some muggle friends. The incident caused her to grow wary of them. And despite her usual acceptance of part-wizards and similar magical creatures. She could never quite bring herself to feel comfortable around vampires. And it is also why a boggart takes on the form of a vampire when it sees her. As the attack left one of her friends badly injured. And caused her to get into trouble with the school for breaks in secrecy and use of under-age magic. Went through a phase when she was still new to the wizarding world where she wanted to be an Auror when she left school. This was soon abandoned after realising that no matter how hard she tried she'd never be able to get the grades required to become one. The white streaks in her hair didn't start to appear until she was fifteen or so. As her necromancy became more powerful and using it took more energy, doubled with the stress of exams and, later on, having to keep the unusual ability hidden from other students, lead parts of her mane and tail to whiten very early on. She doesn't mind all that much though. And styles it so that it looks like ordinary white colouring. Despite being muggle-born, she very rarely visits heavily populated muggle areas, except to visit her parents and a few muggle friends from when she was small. She no longer speaks with her brother, as, whilst he thought her being a witch was quite cool, he wasn't so keen on the necromancy. And she never really figured out why. He made up excuses to avoid her and stories to make her sound cruel. Spreading unjust rumours to neighbours that his sister was a dark sorceress who could talk to the dead and had evil spirits at her beckon-call. Even though at the time, she couldn't do much with what ability she had. As she simply hadn't mastered it yet. After a while, he started to leave her alone, moving far away from their home town, and she hasn't seen him since she was eighteen. The name 'Spectre', came from a nickname given to her by some school friends, who she entrusted with the knowledge of her rare ability whilst still at Hogwarts. The vast majority of her friends still call her Spectre, even the ones who aren't completely aware of her being necromantic. And will often introduce herself with the name as she usually prefers it to her real name.

*A trait which not all necromancers carry. And something she doesn't quite understand. But since most ponies don't recognise that her eyes changing is a result of necromancy, she isn't all that bothered by the change. Though it did cause some trouble in school, when a small handful of Slytherins figured out why her eyes changed.

Well. There's that. She's definitely one of my more developed OC's. I don't know where the original idea came from. But over the past couple months, I've been piecing her together. I don't know where the necromancy came from, I don't know where her friendship with Peeves came from, I don't really know where any of it came from. But with my imagination being as odd as it is (and you only need to browse my gallery to see that) it's probably best not to question it I like how she came out. And I'm pretty happy with how she came out
I will usually be referring to her as Spectre. Not as Lilac Fire. Her real name sort of came about at random. And I thought of that after I came up with her nickname. I just thought that Spectre doesn't seem to be something a pony would name their daughter. So I thought that it could be a nickname instead. As for Peeves' nickname for her, no idea where that came from at all >< But hey ho.
