The colors in this piece really work for me. The muted rose tones complement the grays of the elephants well, and I like how the elephant in the back is almost fading into the red color. The way that the tree and back elephant are drawn give it a watercolor feel, especially because of the colors. It is all very cohesive.
The expression of the elephant in the front is a little strange; it seems to be raising its eyebrow at you (I think that the placement of the eyes is a little lopsided) but it's not a huge issue. Overall I really like this piece. Nice work.

I agree! The eyes bugged me but I couldn't fix it without risk.
And the rose tone was a colour blind mistake at first But after realizing it I loved what it added to it.

Oh, and you have to say the critique is fair to make it appear on the deviation. Just so you know.

This has a nostolgic feel. The colours are as if the elephants are long gone, and had faded from memory.

I hope that is a good thing? When I first thought of doing the piece I wanted it to be very dusty and dry, yet soft. For some reason I feel Elephants deserved to be soft... which I guess can look faded when not done properly. I shall practice!

Yes, that's a good thing. They do look soft, hence the nostalgic feel.
