Their relationship it's kinda messy because of Chara's feelings about being a human but Toriel shows that she sees Chara as her child, so probably Asriel see them as part of the family too.

Yea I wanted to change a little bit his clothes to a sport type. And Frisk is shocked because of how casual it's a human catcher monster near of a human (and Asriel not looking too scary). Btw Chara already give Frisk their name in page 4.
