I thought I would paint something smaller scale before I get back into environments. This actually started out with me following along to a skin and portrait tutorial and then I got carried away. Had to make him a demon. Some of the purple and violent had its inspiration in the movie The Cell. I thought it was really creative how those colors were used to convey sheer horror in that dudes brain. Anyway, this beast ain't that scary. In fact, he is smily.Photoshop, 6-7 hrs

not complete? hmm.. i'd add a strong focal point, like the eyes, maybe could glow and that light could affect the horns and the face and whatnot ^^ i also like the texture around the mouth where the flesh is cracked, maybe adding that around the other features, like the nose and eyes would help ^^
the nose made me think of a ferengi 8D

It looks fine to me but maybe a little hint of blood would probably make the aura have a darker, satanic feel to it...
