"Take look here!" Dera exclaimed to her investigation partner, Springer.
"Is that.. is that an egg? Who'd just leave it here, cold and filthy?" Springer was taken aback by shock.
"I don't know... it covered in paint... we take to one place... uh..." Dera had never known what the other Wynglings had called that egg hatchery... she had never grown up there. Her speech was bad... but she tried her hardest to remember how other Wynglings would say.
"The Nook? Is that what you mean?"
"Yes! There, take there!"
Without another word, Dera picked up the egg, gave it to Springer, and set off to the Nook as fast as they could, before complete darkness could settle upon them.
