This situation is getting out of hand and I'm officially a broken record. Do not use the Featured folder, as it takes approval of the admins for deviations to be accepted. I've been trying to close it for a while but to no avail. Use the respective folder for what you want to post instead.
Also, make sure you're an official member (and not just a watcher) of the group so you can have access to them.

You have to disable the function by doing:
Admin Area > Manage Members > "Members" Tab > and change the option under "Submission to 'Feature':" to Are Not Allowed. And if that's not working then I suggest messaging dA via help desk.

The issue is that people don't select folders, they just dump their deviation on whichever folder is the default. I have that issue in my group, I get submissions to "Secret Santa 2016" which, obviously, is over. I really should close that folder aha.Β
If you're having issues closing it, when you go in to make the change, made sure you make the change for ALL types of members/non-members.

I already checked multiple times, in "Any Deviant" and "Members" it says that submissions to Featured are not accepted... yet people can still use it. I have no idea why that is.
