Radical Tentacles Gallery

[This is version B, without any additional outfits for their accurate heights.]

These have been a long time in the making for me but they're finally done! Proper drawn 2D refs of the Radical Tentacles, all put together in a height chart! This is how they all look canonically. I'm always so proud of whenever I am able to draw something completely from scratch and especially these ones! 🤩😊

I've actually been working on these for an absolutely disproportionate amount of time, about a 1¼ years on and off. Though in reality it hasn't actually been worked on for that long, it is just I am very busy IRL with my job. It also didn't help that I've lost count the amount of times I've re-drawn them over and over to get them right. I really wanted these to be as perfect as possible, and sometimes I wasn't even sure how I wanted some of them to look like.

I was also really pushing the limits of my iPad Air 3 and Procreate in order to make this, with each character in their own canvas at 8000x5590 I was limited to ~18 layers, and I experienced frequent crashes. twitter.com/SplatSam_52gal/sta…

I have set up the drawings in such a way that I can draw them wearing different gear, so I will probably add their Splatoon 3 clothing at some point as well. I will also eventually make proper individual OC refs with these drawings.

But after all that I can finally say that they are done, and I am really truly proud of them. I'm a little nervous to post them after all this time to be honest. But I hope you enjoy my work. 😊

Made in Procreate on iPad and also Adobe Photoshop CS6.
