This image was stuck in my head for ages and - after my brain won the fight with my lazy self to start it - I finished it in one sitting. 
You know, there is a very crucial moment in Kara's character development: You surely remember that she has been smitten with Darkwing since that fateful prom (the one from "Clash Reunion") and thus friendzoned Drake for the rest of her life. Best friend he might be, but forever stuck in a rut. Yeah, now you might feel like patting him on the shoulder and like trying to cheer him up, but hold your breath for a second. Drake (as DW) is well aware of Kara's ongoing (and for her part uncharacteristically childish) infatuation with Darkwing. So at some point the inevitable happens and Darkwing simply takes advantage of that and... well... you get the picture. But this state of blissful ignorance cannot last long. Drake is tormented by pangs of conscience and is at the same time dreadfully afraid that Kara might find out who she's been making out with all the time. So he doesn't tell her. He lets DW break up with her instead. Kara is crying her heart out on Drake's shoulder. The pangs of conscience grow worse. And then - of course - Kara is bound to find out about it all. She ends up in the S.H.U.S.H. archives one day and finds out about the Waddlemeyer-case (Note: She knows Gos is adopted, but not that her former surname was Waddlemeyer). She stumbles over the name Gosalyn and perks up as Darkwing is mentioned as well. Unwilling to ask Darkwing himself at S.H.U.S.H. Headquarters after their sour break-up she does a bit of research herself. She connects the dots and asks too many questions. Dr. Bellum suggests she should go to the orphanage and find out what happened to said Gosalyn Waddlemeyer after the explosion of the Waddlemeyer-Ramrod, as this is not recorded in the case file. Meeting Mrs. Cavanaugh she learns that the girl was adopted, merely a few days after the explosion on St. Canard Tower, by a man heavily bruised and in bandages, Mr. D. Mallard. But Kara already anticipated these news... so that night, still unbelieving that Drake is actually connected to the whole DW-story and feeling the inevitability of truth crashing in on her, she decides to return the salt she borrowed from the Mallards. And then this happens:
And the whole thing is out. Kara is brooding for days over how to react to this revelation she had to find out for herself, feeling abused, betrayed, lonely and immensely stupid ("I'm a scientist! I'm a grown woman! Why did I behave like a gormless school girl whenever he flashed me a smile?!?") at the same time. And then it all falls into place: DW's strange connection to her, why he always looked out for her, why he broke up so suddenly, why he even cared about her in the first place. Because he's Drake, and Drake always cared for her. She understands the predicament he's in and decides not to tell him. Until he's ready to reveal his double identity to her, that is. But that doesn't mean, she's not willing to drop some hints.
Aaaand that's where we come to the image above. 
Sorry for the long ramble, but I had to get that out of my system. At the annual S.H.U.S.H. Christmas party (always in style with gowns and colourful cocktails, of course), Kara is obviously present as a member of the research division and brings along her dearest friends and neighbours, Drake, Gosalyn and Launchpad (as her +3, so to speak 
). She's well aware of the fact that by bringing Drake, he won't get the chance to join the party as Darkwing, but he agrees and so they're off to a great night. It's traditional at these S.H.U.S.H. parties for the employees to present something and organise the programme for the night, so Kara decides to do some singing this year (Remember: Nega-Kara is/was the villainous rockstar, but Kara is a trained singer and pianist as well even though her dad pushed her to forego a musical career for a scientific one). I've been thinking a lot about what she could sing, but the song "Never Enough" really fits the mood a lot. If you squint a bit, you could interpret the lyrics as Kara telling Drake that having DW just isn't enough for her anymore. And then the party is crashed by Negaduck and all hell breaks loose...
