LOL. The three names are names of characters from a TV show... Katara's a girl and the other two are the two boys she is most frequently paired with, causing a lot of drama and angst between people who ship either party.

Hmmm, who to choose...a happy life in a palace with a guy who was ready to die for me, put his life on the line to help me fight my mother's killer, someone who has both the means and the understanding to set up all sorts of trade routes with the Southern Water Tribe and help us all get out of poverty, and the only guy who ever took the time to understand and love the real me...or a boring life with an eternal child who'll insist on me giving everything to him, but won't give a single thing back to me? I know. I just still have problems understanding the writing itself--How is it that the right couple was there all along, and yet they waste the potential by putting them with the wrong people? What did Mai ever do for the common people, besides absolutely nothing? Was there ever a time she didn't use them as entertainment or act as though they're only there to serve her? And on the flip side, what did Aang ever do for Katara, besides yell at her, wrongfully judge her, and never give her a chance to speak her mind unless it was to fawn over him? As far as I can tell, these characters have no redeeming qualities and merely exist to satisfy the fantasies of the creators, who clearly have issues of their own when it comes to romance. Somewhere, there is a dark-haired, blue-eyed mother of three and a dark-haired, dark-eyed rock musician cringing in horror at the sight of themselves turned into fictional, animated dolls just so they can be possessed by the creators' fictional, idealized selves. Take a long look at Aang and Zuko, and then take a look at the faces of Bryke. You'll see what I mean.

XD I definitely see what you mean, and I LOATHED the very ending of the season finale with the shitty kisses. I mean, I'd have been happy with a ship-neutral ending where NO ONE kissed and the ending was left open for us.
