then I can learn how to so lighting and all that snazzy jazz

Nice. Sounds pretty fun You're making good progress already as is though, to be honest.
Though I reckon they could teach some cool stuff.
Uh yeah my cert course covers a good range of general stuff in the support category (like hardware, customer service, ticketing and proper OH&S) but there also two other specialized categories we do on corresponding days. Programming (Tues) and networking (Thurs & Fri) whereas the support is on Wednesdays. It's pretty fun. They also offer a Cisco course alongside that allows you to begin getting qualified for Cisco (which is a very good thing, as they provide internet services - and other IT solutions - to most of the world), and I intend to do that! Should be good haha.

Plus you get a long weekend, and of course that's the most important aspect :3

It's also pretty good that they're helping you get a job so quickly
