It's so funny... I did it as a joke with my friend to demonstrate gradients and it ended up looking pretty neat. I'm glad you like it!

I haven't been visiting deviantART much lately, but I noticed that you had some sweet fractals, which surprised me. Give me some time and I'll check them all out.

Nope, it's one that I took during a fire dance show. That was my first (and only) attempt at shooting fire like that, and it was a ton of fun. I got a few other cool shots from the session but I didn't want to post them all because they seemed a little redundant.
