In the mirror there's a guy with his head held high
He leads the perfect life a under a perfect sky
All his friends look up to him for everything
In his life he's the only one that pulls the strings

Over the wall lives a girl that's got a plan
And it doesn't involve impressing her friends
She'll take over her life by being herself
Because she knows only she can pull her dreams off the shelf

Right down the street lives a little boy with big dreams
He's not worried about his future or what he'll be
He just knows not to let youth fall between the cracks
And a long time ago he figure out that life's more fun if you just relax

On the other side of town an old man remembers when he was young
He doesn't even hear the rocking chair creak while he hums the songs he's sung
He's got a story for everyday of his life and his proud of each one
And he's not afraid of death and can say that life's been fun

In front of me sits a mirror that reflects pure and true
And it shows me that I'm not good enough for you
I was always too busy to follow the lead of those around me
I was to blind to see it and now the guilt's about to drown me
