Infamous plays like a comic book that you decide what happens. You're a bike messenger named Cole that get's caught in this disaster that destroys half the city but it grants you the power to absorb amd manipulate huge amounts of electricity.
The city is divided up into three islands and have been cut off from the main land by the government because there is also a plauge that was unleashed and it's killing citizens on top of three different super gangs that have risen up in the aftermath of the disaster and are trying to take over the place.
I think you'd like the Reaper's Gang since they all wear red hoodies with skulls and bones painted on them. [link]
Anyway, depending on what you do in the game depends on what kind of being you become and how your powers develope. Hero or Villain. If you go the hero route you become almost angelic and have a blue white glow around you and your powers can be used in non-lethal ways for the most part.
If you go evil your skin gets dark with black lightning bolts all over it and your electricity turns blood red and all your attacks with it become lethal and cause maximum damage.
Also you can use your powers to heal people or suck the life force out of them.
No matter what path you take it's a good game and it's pretty challenging in parts but it also has free roam to it and mini missions like Grand Theft Auto 4. And everything you do affects your character's karma and how he will ultimately be viewed by the public as well as his friends and enemies. When you're good the cops and citizens cheer you and when your evil they shoot at you and curse at you.
It's the kind of game you can get lost in for hours just exploring and trying to boost your characters powers and abilities. I won it on good and I started playing it on evil and I'm almost done with it. Also most everythin in it can be destroyed if you're looking to vent and cause mayhem

I think the price has dropped on it so you shouldn't have to spend too much to get it. Maybe 40.00 or less in some places. The only download for it is free as well. You can arm your evil side with giant red electric fist blades for melee attacks.
If I can give you one tip for the game, go exploring right from the start and find as many meteorite shards as you can. The more power you have the better off you'll be when you start getting into the stroyline missions.
