The cost is actually is actually mid range for this type of plushie. There's actually a whole iceberg of of hidden costs associated with making Split Mind Plush: there's the obvious cost of fabrics, beads, pendants, then there's a fees that webpages take per transaction, paypal also takes a cut of the profit, deviantart membership fees, art fair fees, printing material fees, professional photographer fees, studio rental fees, cost of shipping, advertising fees, marketing fees, cross-promotion fees and to top it all - I need to make a profit to pay my time fees. 

Hope that the cost makes more sense now

I've started making plushies as a teenager, and it was a way for self-expression and therapy. I am very happy when others undertake this style of crafts <3 Good Luck - it is so worth it!

I actually do kittens from time to time, just not recently...but it's on my "to do list", and that's  an achivement on its own
