Springers Point on Ocracoke Island, NC. This was once the home and headquarters for Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard the Pirate. Spent a lot of time here walking the area on land and kayaking the waters at sea. This area is beautiful, and the waters hard to navigate for big ships unless you know the depths. Which made this a perfect hideaway. The water is Pamlico Sound, between the islands and the mainland. A vast area with tricky waters due to the ever-changing depths.
