As we step into the first month of the new year, tell us about some of the ‘firsts’ that shaped your character and made them who they are - perhaps their first “job”, their first love, or their first glimpse of magic. WANDER: For Wander, the scars that he and Yael bear are more than just a reminder of what Olimpia did to them. They were a betrayal, a hurt that he never expected from his mother, and a mental wound he would carry with him into adulthood. The first time was enough to shape him into a young Kol distrustful of every new wolf he meets, no matter how kind they seem. He's determined to never be hurt so deeply a second time.

BRICK: The first scar Brick ever received came from her own mother, and it was perhaps the only one to leave a lasting effect on her. When Nausicaa snapped that night and lashed out at Brick, it destroyed whatever relationship remained between them - Brick grew more hateful and resentful, the new notch in her ear a constant reminder that Nausicaa would never understand or accept her, just like everyone else. So she stopped caring what other people thought of her.

LOGAN: Diana and her lackeys were persistent and cruel, but one of the first - and only - times their harassment had ever left lasting damage was when they tore Logan's ear. Diana hurt her like it was nothing, she hated her that much. It rattled Logan more than she wanted her sister to know, so Logan let them jeer and loom over her, mocking her inability to stop them, giving no reaction. There was no point. She said nothing about it to her parents, and took care of the injury herself... after all, nobody else would. She had to fend for herself. The scar would serve as a reminder of that the rest of her life.

I'm not the most pleased with how the backgrounds came out on these, but c'est la vie. I didn't have a lot of time to work on them this month x'D just little bursts of productivity rip - but I'm proud of how the characters look and got more practice with clip brushes so its still a win I suppose
