Adel would throw down his life in a heartbeat to save those he cares about, no questions asked. That, combined with the new confidence he's been building in his abilities - and armed with the knowledge that the Kol could very well have abilities of their own - he's come to view his curse as a double-edged sword. His packmates might never accept him if they knew of his magic, but if it comes down to it, he would gladly use it to defend them. Fighting fire with fire is the only way to make sure that his friends and all the wolves of Tundes will be safe if the tension between the two packs leads to violence.

And if he has to sacrifice his safety, if he must trade his life for theirs to ensure they remain unharmed, then... so be it.
