NAUSICAA & PHOEBE

It was early spring when the seeker and emissary trades were informed by Orianthi and Wylla of the second circle out in the Freelands, and the circumstances of its creation. Nausicaa empathizes with Lennart - it is never easy to lose a child, and she knows that it must have been devastating for the Alpha to discover that his wayward son had fallen to the island. Every day she worries the same might happen to Brick, or that it already has. Orianthi tells them all that Lennart wanted seekers and emissaries keeping an eye on the Freelands circle, but for a while Nausicaa hesitates to set foot outside of Skydas territory, ever hesitant and stalled by paranoia. What if this circle was tainted with some foul energy? What if the Kol or other former Tundes were snooping around? Oh, the curiosity was eating at her, but she just was so nervous of all the what ifs and hazards that came with trekking out into neutral territory...

Spring comes and goes and its only a few days before summer is upon them that the pale emissary works up the courage to go and see the circle - but not by herself, heavens no! Nausicaa enlists the gamma warden Phoebe to accompany her, and the mottled she-wolf is all too eager to oblige. She doesn't have much interest in seeing the stone circle herself, but who was she to turn down a request from a pretty lady? That would just be downright unchivalrous. So the two set out on their venture to the Pass to check on the site.

BRICK & POSIE

Routine was easy to slip back into after the... spectacle at the Oak. Brick threw herself back into patrols without missing a beat, keen to bury herself in work and not think too hard about what might be happening in the south, or the events that led up to it. A part of her is still curious though, wondering just what the hell must have been bought with the blood they all spilled for Malaysia and the spirits - turns out, Posie was rather keen to find out as well. You wouldn' mind comin' south wit me on some scoutin', wouldja? Just'a quick look 'round. With nothing better to do Brick agreed; going south along the Brook with the chipper rhete was hardly much of a deviation from her usual routine anyway... until the two come across a set of tracks, and a scent Brick recognizes. Nausicaa. So she's still alive after all. It was the first sign of her mother she had found since leaving for the Kol, and suddenly Brick is not as interested in continuing on their way down the Magellan.

Whatever they might find in the south could wait, the dios insisted. They ought to find out where these tracks led first.

Tried my hand at some more comic practice ;] im pretty happy with the composition and linework of this one, and the amount of characters i managed to squeeze into it eeee!!
