Description
Spring brought with it much turmoil for Lennart and the Skydas; Fitch's death, the deaths of Olin and Juniper, and the stone artifacts left behind by them all weigh heavy on the Alpha's mind. He knows that he can only do so much to ease the worries of his packmates, but he tries his best where he can - and nowhere is it more important to try than with his family.

Aivar and Nettle are still young yet, and Len is determined not to have them grow up fearing the deaths that come with each season. They had seen enough hardship in their lives. While Len doesn't try to hide the grief and unease that came with spring, he tries to find ways that he can take their minds off of it - and what better way to do that than to tell stories? Almos's history holds a good deal of legends and tall tales, but the one that Lennart shares with his young sons is one that is tradition to tell in their family: The Ode to the Moon. A simple fairytale to some, but to Lennart, it is home, and he shares it with Nettle and Aivar so they can forget their worries and enjoy each others' company; if only for a little while.
