That part was sad, but then again, their parents being a CatDog would've been too creepy (they would've been brother and sister since CatDog are conjoined twins). I like the fact you made their dad the cat and their mom the dog instead of vice versa; I've always thought they would be like that since most cat/dog pairings normally have a male dog and a female cat, plus most elder brothers take after the father.
