*sniffs* I really miss that little brown ball of fluff. Damn right he still rules. Old Tails had more personality, reliability and charm to him. Wish more artists drew him over that traffic jam maker... Don't get me wrong. I still like the new brighter take of him, but... That character that made Old Tails fun and charming has been well... Lost for me. Now he's kind of a pure and confusing character.

Hehe, poor Modern Tails. Β I still find it odd that after all these years, Tails was the only one of the original Sonic Β characters who actually had natural fur color just like the real lie animal they were based on in the beginning.

I actually kind of prefer the modern designs, overall. I particularly like the way Tails is colored now - Yellow is a bit more unique-looking for a fox; and the blue eyes work for him, I think. The orange coloration isn't bad, but it's really nothing special (and didn't last long - He was already getting lighter by Sonic 3). Brown... Sorry, but I honestly think it's kind of dull; and doesn't fit Tails all that well.

my favourite Tails version is from 90's -Genesis-GameGear-Saturn (until Sonic Adventure); but i like all his versions; more 90's 'cause it has a nice design.

CLASSIC TAILS WAS ALWAYS
While I do like all version of Tails, the classic version was definitely cuter and had a more energetic and even somewhat mischievous personality, which fits well with his young sidekick status.
Modern Tails, while still having an appealing design, wasn't quite as fun or memorable. They went with a more boy-genius personality, which is not a bad idea and could make him a more independent character and fitΒ better with the more sci-fi heavy settings that certain entries in the series went with. But in order to write a boy-genius character right, you need to be a pretty clever and/or inventive writer yourself, and those are two words that surely don't come to mind when you think about the writing in the Sonic games.
You certainly improved over the years, though your style remained the same, western classic Sonic inspired designs along with cute and cartoony drawings. Whenever that's a good or a bad thing you tell me, but I persoanlly like your style,Β it's certainly stands outΒ next toΒ the usual Sonic fanart. I hope when you redo this again in another 10 years, it would be even better (or at least animatedΒ ).
