I love this image. It takes me back to early mornings hiking in the Uintas.

Oh wow, this is breathtaking! How long did it take you? Considering its oil on canvas- I can't imagine. I work with watercolors- occasionally acrylics (butchered the spelling didn't I). But I've never been brave enough to try oils. I really want to because I love how rustic and swirly they appear! ^^ just fantastic!

Thanks Yavanni, This took about a week. 3 sessions with Alkyds (fast drying oils).
I hate working with acrylics as they dry way too fast.. no time to work them, blending. Only use them on murals and then I use a very impressionist technique for that.
I'd recommend you try Alkyds as regular oils take weeks to dry.
Good luck!

Sorry for the SUUUUUPER late reply! School got really busy! I'm so sorry!
I had no idea they had oil paints that dry faster! How much faster lol? I'd really like to try some painting. I really only ever use watercolor-which I love. But in my opinion, they really aren't even close to the realm that acrylics and oils are in. And Alkyds- how much are they approximately? Do you order them offline? I'm sorry for bombarding you with a billion questions, lol, but you are clearly much more advanced in painting than I and not terribly many people on DeviantArt can actually manage to reap such words out of me. Haha

Really liked this - I wouldn't have guessed oil as the medium, it looks more watercolor to me, but I love it just the same. They look just like trees that are out in front of my house!

Great mist effect. I initially did mistake this for an actual photo.
