Huh...This is the face I see in so many churches I've been in. Forced smiles...Because that's what your suposed to do. Never tell anyone how you really feel, when they ask,"how are you". Nope, Just Oil the gears and shift into automatic "happy face" mode.
Whatever you intended for this painting to be, is holds a lot of truth in side of it

It was for a flyer for a club/dance/rave thing. It didn't get used because they didn't want to look like they were promoting drug use, I think. Hm, how to these emoticons work? ..
Sounds like church is a drag,

To clarify,
It's not Church or God or Jesus that is the problem... It's the people inside that use the church to pretend everything is fine, and if you believe in God you'll be happy, even when your not. Those people and their false interpretations are the problem... Well, maybe it's just me. Still Dig the piece.
I don't think it promotes drug use. Why would they think it promotes drugs.. if drugs then why not Sex or Chocolate or Love; or anything that gives us a false sense of pleasure and makes us drool.

The problem is not other people whatever they do or don't believe, it is internal, in the psyche, where all beliefs and delusions are born.
I guess they thought the Smiley looked too wasted.
I hate dance music anyway.

Makes sense to me, I guess we all have physiological issues of some sort. Maybe Psychiatry should be a back up job idea... Never a lack of clients
