Description
Dark is a white cat with black patches and a toughened, almost tense presence to her - shadowy claws always unsheathed. Her eyes are pure black, pierced by small, glowing "soft red" pupils. While her neck is fastened tightly by a similarly red spiked collar that seems uncomfortable to bear, yet irremovable. Leathery, bat-like wings of that same red shade adorn her back. And as a final touch to her demonic look, she bears a pair of small, black horns.

Dark is cursed with..... something. Not even she seems to know what exactly she's been cursed with and can honestly be a bit uneasy with the subject.
But her name should be a clue, right? Well, she doesn't have any control of darkness, besides just looking kind of shady. Certainly, nothing like the light Glow emanates or can place into eyes. Dark can't blend into the shadows or snuff out a light with a flick of her claws - she can't even see in the dark any better than a regular cat! Sure, being able to fly is something, but surely there's more than just flight to whatever her curse is... Now, whether or not Dark wants to know what that "more" is, is a separate question. One she... honestly doesn't know her answer for either. Her feelings are kind of complicated about it all.

If she has one definitive answer, however, it's that she does not like PAIN. All her mixed feelings about curses aside, Dark quickly found the world itself of PAIN very worrying and unpleasant. Hostile in even it's most peaceful corners. A cage lined with barbed wired.

More than anything, though, Dark worried about her sister, Glow.

It was distressing. All the cats who could - who would - hurt Glow. She was so naive, thanks to her own curse, she needed someone to protect her as much as possible. Dark is willing to die in order to protect Glow. Glow is all she has after all. A lone light in this cruel place.

So, Dark and Glow have stuck closely together throughout their time so far in PAIN, which has consisted mostly of flying around in search of a pleasant(ish) place to stay. That is until they found Drip's group, and upon learning what it was, Dark was insistent on joining. Glow happily agreed to join her.

Dark has noticed more than a few cats being cautious around her and even Glow... Something about cats in the past that they resemble? She doesn't know what to make of it.

Perhaps it just feels unfair.

It's impossible for her not to notice all the whispers... If only she were more like Glow. Able to ignore them and make unlikely friends. The closest thing Dark has had to a friend so far is... Drip? At least, she always seems interested in hearing what Dark is doing or thinking. But that's only because the leader obviously wants to check on the new members. Hell, even Drip has acted cautious of Dark and Glow.

Nevermind, Dark has no one besides Glow.

It doesn't matter, though, Dark just needs to get herself and Glow safely out of PAIN as soon as possible. Dark is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen... if only the group would trust her.

...Does she even trust herself?

Dark has been seeing things, she thinks. Shadowy figures. While spending a good amount of her time outside of camp to prove her trustworthiness by providing prey, she swears she's been seeing something slinking around her as she hunts. But whenever she looked closer it would be gone. Was it some cat from the group stalking her? Was she that untrustworthy? That unwanted? Did they plan to kill her? And if so- did they plan on killing Glow too--

The cage's wire tightens. A dismal feeling of no escape sinks in ever deeper. Needless to say, Dark has been more and more on edge lately.

edit: Yes... I finally bring to you.. LORE!! Honestly I had to hold myself back from explaining a lot about Dark just yet, because I think there's some worthwhile story to be unveiled with her. Perhaps in something like a short story format one day... hopefully.

For a long time Dark didn't have wings (in her normal form at least) but I've decided it was weird how she was the only one lacking wings while Free, Kill and Glow all had them. So now Dark's got wings that are slightly smaller than Kill's were (Glow's wings are also smaller than Free's.)
