This guy is adopted from Scourgeseer
I hope i didn't mess with the design too much or anything?

So uh
Firstly, Plaguebringer's mom is a NightWing and his father is a HiveWing

Plaguebringer's parents (and family in general) are very... superstitious. And his name comes from how not long after his egg was laid to the time he was to hatch, his mother became extremely ill and was even bedridden for most of that time. She and her mate seriously believed this egg to be an ill omen or even a curse of some kind, and considered giving up the egg until her mother convinced them to keep this "plague egg."

The egg was calculated and expected to hatch on a night with a full moon - ideal time for a NightWing to emerge. The mother was especially troubled by this however, and on the night of the egg's hatching, she dragged her sickly body all the way to the egg just to bring it out of the moonlight. Unfortunately, she was seemingly too late, as just minutes within shade the egg hatched - and out came a blood red dragonet with two tear drops by it's eyes.

The mother felt sick to her stomach, and felt she had this creature to blame - this little "Plaguebringer."

Even though Plaguebringer's mother ultimately managed to recover, she was still wary with him and it wasn't hard for Plaguebringer to figure out she didn't like him very much. (especially since she spent way more time tending to his older sister)

Luckily for Plaguebringer's mother, he didn't seem to have very good mind reading abilities at all. Plaguebringer had no idea what ever triggered it, but occasionally he would be able to look into other dragon's minds. He's so used to not being able too for most of time though, that when it happened he'd end up blurting out a response without realizing he was responding to thoughts and not actual words.
That got him into some trouble and arguments sometimes. Even though Plaguebringer really never meant to do it, he was never good at defending himself.

When Plaguebringer was around 3 he was starting to get left with his grandmother most days for her to take care of him, since his parents seemingly didn't want to have him around. His grandmother was... interesting. While Plaguebringer's mother tended to neglect him a lot, his grandmother, Eidolon, had a lot more attention on him... not really good attention though.
It was like she was studying and testing him all the time, seeing if he truly was a "Plaguebringer," or something. Or if he inherited the "powers" that she had.

Plaguebringer didn't really dislike Eidolon at first, I mean he thought it was pretty cool to be related to a semi-famous author and medium. She had all these charms and stories and stuff. She had some mind-reading abilities too, but she claimed they didn't work like normal NightWing mind-reading. No, with her mind-reading she could hear the thoughts of the dead and communicate with them!
Plaguebringer hates to admit, but he wished he could have been like her for a short time.

But then he started making friends with other dragonets, and they would occasionally tease him about any charms he had or whenever he freaked out about ghosts being around or curses. They would even play pranks on him and laugh at how gullible he was. Plaguebringer hated it.

He grew more critical of the beliefs and stories that he had been taught.
At some point his parents stopped bringing him home from Eid's place, sometime after they had another dragonet. And to make things worse, Eid started losing interest in Plaguebringer and even told him point blank how she was disappointed in him; that he didn't have any power she'd hoped he would. So now even Eid seemed to have abandoned him.

Now all he felt he had left was himself. So he desperately hid away his insecurities and tried to avoid being teased ever again, even if it meant he became kind of a bully because of it.

Okay now after all that story stuff here's some other info:
-Later, Plaguebringer has managed to figure out his mind-reading actually seems to kick it whenever a dragon is sick or hurting, suddenly letting him read this sick dragon's thoughts. It doesn't work all the time though, and there are occasionally random moments where he has a flash of what all the dragon's around him are thinking, and gives him a bad headache.
-Plaguebringer actually gets sick really easily himself
-He's allergic to mice and scavengers (it'd actually swell his throat if he tried to eat them and they irritate his scales)
-He has to check his food for rats a lot before he eats it
-Eid had a lot of strong herbs and scented stuff, which ended up giving Plaguebringer headaches or just distracting him due to having heightened HiveWing smelling. He told Eid about it, but she thinks he's just overreacting and refuses to get rid of anything for him
-Plaguebringer doesn't really believe any of the superstitious stuff anymore, but deep inside he's still really scared of curses and ghosts haunting him
-Nothing scares him more than than the thought of Eid haunting him when she dies - she's already very big and scary
-Plaguebringer is pretty large for his age, and he looks bulkier or tougher than he really is. It helps his intimidation factor a bit.
-He has some fire, nothing else
-His favorite color is violet and lavender (but he won't admit it)
-Maybe if he gets his life together, he could become a kind of nurse or doctor who can tell when dragons are sick immediately. He actually does have some interest in medical stuff.

lol I need to give Plaguebringer's mom and dad a name at some point
I might draw the rest of his family, might be fun to elaborate on them
