Description
So here's the queen of the DayWings herself, Queen Daybreak. Plus some size comparison silhouettes to help show how big she is. The small yellow one is an average adult DayWing, the big dark one is meant to represent Darkstalker who was around 2000 years old if I'm not mistaken. Daybreak is around 5000 years old, she was alive even around the scorching and the end of it is when she officially took power.

Daybreak is very smart, even when she was young - but she is also incredibly paranoid and cautious of everything. What she fears the most is death and she's done everything in her power to prevent it. dozens upon dozens of spells about the same kind of poison immunity, never dying of old age or impenatrable scales each worded differently just in case. On top of it all, her first line of defensive spells is a bunch just redirecting any kind of spell or animus enchantment put on her to another DayWing in the kingdom. She adds a new one to the list every time a DayWing is born, so say an animus manages to enchant something to make her explode - it will instead make a random other DayWing explode. So that's fun.
Luckily that doesn't happen too often (if ever) thanks to all her rules, but still it's a sort of dark thought.

I would say Queen Daybreak didn't really become a queen because she had any passion for leading or ruling, but rather she saw it as the best way to control the animus population and keep them from killing each other and more importantly her. Daybreak still has some kind of thin layer of morality left at least, even if she doesn't like the other tribes at all, she still doesn't want to bring any mass genocide upon them. In fact she does prefer to avoid killing other Daywings if she can, as long as it doesn't put her in any danger. Which is why she just chose to leave Pyrrhia instead of trying to enforce any death penalties or eradicate all the other tribes.

also due to all her spells redirecting all animus magic from her, Queen Daybreak is unable to put any more spells on herself, at least not without undoing every single one of her redirection spells first. Because of her uncontrolled size, Daybreak sometimes has trouble getting around and flying, she also has some joint pains and headaches very often. Just in general she lives with a lot of pain going on in her. It's probably a miracle she isn't just insane at this point.

also all her jewelry is made with animus magic out some kind of metals and some actual jewels here or there.
