Description
Redraw (and redesign) of some old WoF character of mine, Snowstorm.
She's a veteran from a war between IceWings and SandWings (probably/maybe part of the hybrid hell story,) where she lost her left arm, left wing and part of her tail.

Part of the story I didn't mention in the original image: was how Snowstorm had been saved by a SandWing soldier who found her left for dead in the desert heat, her arm and wing so badly burned and broken that she could barely walk, much less fly (not to mention her tail was completely torn off.)
Turns out the SandWing's name was Sandstorm, and he helped get Snowstorm some water and helped her get to the nearest IceWing fort. While Snowstorm certainly wasn't keen on trusting the enemy, she also didn't want to die, so she accepted his help.
On the way they made small talk and became friends somewhat, even though Snowstorm never imagined she would befriend a SandWing since this war started. She was also impressed she was even alive at that point though.
Eventually, Snowstorm managed to return to her Kingdom and had parted ways with Sandstorm without ever mentioning how a SandWing saved her to anyone else, just in hopes of not coming across as a possible traitor. Her arm and wing had to be amputated due to the damage and infection in them, and she retired as a veteran who miraculously survived.

After some time and the war finally came to a truce, Snowstorm sought to find Sandstorm again. And for the sake of a nice ending, I'll say she eventually managed to track him down. She thanked him for saving her that day, because honestly she didn't know what else to say.
Snowstorm got to meet Sandstorm's family, including his dragonets, and despite being an IceWing she felt pretty welcome around them. If someone had told Snowstorm a few years before she would be friends with SandWings, she would have scoffed at them, but now here she was.

Snowstorm managed to get a place to live nearby, even though Sandstorm insisted she didn't have to stay in the heat just for them. But Snowstorm didn't really have much to return to back in the Ice Kingdom and anyway, she could handle the heat.
So now Snowstorm will come and visit every once and a while. And often Snowstorm will proudly show off how she can beat anyone in an arm wresting match.

Unfortunately, there has been more tension between the Ice and Sand Kingdom since then, which leaves Sandstorm uneasy about whether Snowstorm will be safe staying, at risk of another war breaking out. Snowstorm doesn't plan on leaving anytime soon, to go back to a Kingdom she's grown to somewhat dislike. So if things do break out, Snowstorm will probably go into hiding with Sandstorm if she has to.

So anyway that's a lot of story for a side character lol
