Description
Alright, time for the wall of text. Don't say I didn't warn you.NERD INFO
So, I chose to do Lydia's 'other side' for a couple of reasons, and here's why. It helps if you're a bit at home in Euro-mythology.
GENERAL INFO
Appearance
Lydia looks like she did before, only paler: the color of death didn't go away. She has red circles around her eyes, as if she's been crying, and a couple of white streaks in her hair.
Goals
There's a few things that Lydia wants right now, and it's hard to decide for her which is more important. She wants to go home more than anything, but she insists on taking Hemhem with her. Do not come between her and that child. Seriously. Then there's the matter of revenge. She really, really, really wants to get even for the stuff that's been pulled on her; the idea is becoming a bit of an obsession for her.
Personality
She's still very much like the old Lydia; polite and sweet overall, with a bit of a bitchy side. After recent events however, she holds some serious grudges. She feels so much right now; anger, grief, a tiny bit of hope: emotionally, she's all over the place. She acts much like a frightened animal; scared, confused and lunging out at possible threats with whatever she can, while she's trying to keep her head together. She picks herself up quite quickly though, because she's got a job to do: get Hemhem and get out. Her anger is channeled towards the HH staff (with Doll and Wilton being on top of her shit-list) and anyone else who dares to cross her. Her new 'form' brings with it a couple of instincts she feels she must follow, but she's still enough of her old self to not act on impulse. She instead uses her intellect to reach the desired results.
Occupation
Just because she has a nametag and a brand new job doesn't mean she's actually gonna do it. She hates Haven, she doesn't plan on working for them; she's got escape and revenge on her mind as for now.
Strenghts
- Her new abilites make her considerably stronger than the human Lydia ever was.
- She still has her intelligence, and she plans on using it.
Weaknesses
- She got stabbed through the stomach. She wears a corset in her human form because though it may have healed, it's still a weak spot.
- Other weaknessess she had as a human, such as her fragile spine and her shoulder, are still not that much stronger.
- She's completely new at this: she feels very confused, and most of the time she doesn't really know what she's doing and if she's doing it right.
UPDATE: FINAL FORM
Bye bye pencil skirt, hello flowy smokey veil things.
Lydia is not a demon, she is in the 'undead' category because unlike demons, she has not willingly sold her soul. I made her a human-like creature since I have this belief that the longer you are 'evil' the more you look the part. When she spends a couple of centuries like this, it'll show.^^
Transformation
Lydia will turn into the Banshee when she experiences intense emotion, most likely anger. When enraged, the Banshee will take over; Lydia has little to no control over her actions anymore. The transformation is sudden and involuntary; it begins with the white streaks in her hair starting to 'smoke'. Once the process has started, she can't reverse it. At this point in the story, this is all new to Lydia and the only way to turn back into herself is to let the Banshee rage; when she has calmed down, she'll change back. Lydia has total recall of everything she does while transformed.
Stomach-mouth
This is actually a leftover from the stab-wound she has, courtesy of Doll. It never fully healed, and when she transforms it becomes another mouth. Yes, it can bite and yes, it can scream. No, it can't eat anything.
Strenghts
- Her main weapon is still her voice; see above. The abilities listed are amplified in this form: they are stronger moves. The Banshee is more likely to scream than speak, but she is still capable of talking.
- Other than that, she can now evaporate, or at least partly, and float/fly. (This is a work in progress and takes some getting used to.)
Weaknesses
- She has no control over herself in this shape. Lydia's smarts only get her so far.
- Physicallly, she can't do much. If you get around her voice, you can probably injure her very easily, especially considering the fact that her 'wounds' she had as a human - stab wound, shoulder, back/spine- still stand.
- Emotion: the Banshee acts on them. If you make her sad instead of angry, there's a good chance she'll just bugger off and wail somewhere, or turn back into Lydia.
- Children. The Banshee will never hurt a child on purpose; this is because Lydia is still looking for Hemhem; when transformed she is still vaguely aware that she shouldn't hurt a kid, in case it's him.
