Description
This one is approx. 20' x 25'I used watercolor, pen & nib, India Ink
In Canada when the new teach'n thing came out, I was with the last ones to go through OAC's (Grade 13). So when I when to graduate the school forgot I was with the old way and in the summer called me and was like you need 5 englishes not 4 so I had to waste a year to get an english credit that would count as an OAC... so I toke all art credits to dog the time... but to make a long story short my teacher Ms. Filo had given us an art project but I had don't it before twice so I asked if I could do something else and this is it... lol (I graduated with 13 art credits... O.O )

This is truly amazing.
It is one of the few pieces that has come close to the images that plague my mind.
I love it.

whoa, very striking piece of work. the texture of the background and all the rocks is nifty, the color is warm and easy on the eyes as well. i like how you didnot fully outline the rocks and things further in the background, it lends a better sense of distance.
it is spooky how the creatures on the ground blend in so much, and i was surprised when i discovered the closeup head; the position almost seems like the viewer is on the ground with the rest of the "fallen" creatures. (btw, you have rendered the head of the closest goblincreature excellenty). the stickfigure sillouettes in the back look too cartoony though, and in some parts, the coloring perhaps does not blend well enough.
the bright white figure is nice though, he sticks out while still blending with the texture of the rest of the piece. very thoughtful work, great job overall!!

Thank you... lol my teacher wanted me to an shadow and detail to the white dude as well... but I wanted a strong contrast... I could shade he and still have the contrast, but... mehn... Should I shade him?

i would have to disagree with your teacher.. i believe that without shading, the whitefigure seems more like he is glowing from inside himself... whereas with shading, it would imply that he was being illuminated by another source than his own self... it would pull him down more to the level of the fallencreatures.
anyway, you are quite welcome, i hope my comments help.

He is in a pit where he has no where to ran or hide but wait for death and I made his hand like the other so the longer he is in this world the more he will unwilllingly become one of them... or feed them in the end! Also I was listening to 'Not Falling' by Mudvayne so it works
