You ask for hell, you get hell. I called upon the days of old, and got new information today.
Saddness, and anger have rushed over me.. and this image (and the horrible one before it) have soothed me.
AH! Art. It does wonders.
The hand is soo very fucked up.. but i don't care.. i needed this outlet.
Memories are hard to deal with.. and new relavations (if you could call it that) are even worse.
But thats life.

I find that my best work comes from when i'm angry. i suppose because i focus so much of my feelings into what i'm doing that afterwards i come out with an amazing piece,( well not as amazing as yours...) and an achy hand.

arg... Chan! Please tell me I can in depth critique it! I won't go ahead and do it unless you say I can... but I'd like to disect it and tell you what I really like about it.

I promised you a crit of this piece a LOOOONG time ago(over a year... I suck)... So here goes:
Composition: Looking at this piece is like leading ones self to a dark metaphysical cellar in terms of the pull from light (top and left) to dark (heavy on the right and bottom). It definately sets the mood perfectly, as does the scale you've chosen. The figures, while small and crouched in the corner, still actively engage the space. This is also made possible by the sepia tones leading down to the main focus of the drawing.
Color: I love the emotional feeling set by the colors. Something I always admire about your work is the way you can manipulate color ever so slightly to convey mood, personality, and texture all at once. (Of course the texture also comes out of the original sketch work, but they work together so well.) There is a real sense of fatigue and loneliness projecting out of the page (or off the screen, really) that is seen through a murky, tangible filter of the greens and browns.
Drawing: The other thing I'm fond of is your style. Many people have told you already that it is so entirely unique. Everything about the piece, from the figure, to the shadowy manifestation of (what translates to me as) 'fear,' including all the sinewy lines surrounding the figure and defining the space, serve to strengthen the overall effect. (The hand, by the way, looks fine to me. I think its one of the most expressive parts of the figure.)
I think that's about it. Aside from 'its so beautiful, I love it,' I mean...

ity's damn WONDERFUL! The beast really shows it's horrible evilness and the person's thin limbs make him/her seem so helpless! i love it so much. you definatley poured emotion into this. well done!

As stated above in the Lyrics, "M.E." is a song by Gary Numan. As far as I've read up on the song 'M.E.' stands for nothing, but the word 'me.' Course i haven't found anything else that states otherwise.. which i can almost asume is illuding to a person, or to himself.
I love Numan songs, and took a chance to use this one for this piece. It reminds me of trying to run away, or being in a spot you don't really want to be, and being utterly alone.
So yeah, just a song. Funny how your initials are M.E. Kinda cute actually.

I love how she is seems so cursed by the pain. Curled up and so wishing it would all go away but following her in her shadow it's there... great work once again
